Nampelil Homestay is a place to unwind and relax. This is the home of Dr. N. Subhash and Mrs. Usha Subhash. Dr. Subhash is working as a Scientist in Trivandrum whereas his wife Usha takes care of the house. She was working with an airline until she took voluntary retirement to spend a peaceful life.
Our primary concern amidst this COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic is nothing other than the health and safety of our guests. We strictly follow all safety protocols ordained by the Local and State government authorities and the Health Department.

This Homestay is recognized as a Gold House by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala. What we provide in our house is accommodation, with complimentary breakfast, for 2 adults at very nominal rates. The room is well-furnished and has a double bed, TV, and a computer with internet connection and an attached bath. For additional members (maximum 2), a bath-attached bed room can be provided upstairs at additional cost.

Here in this house you will have the privileged company of a middle aged couple who have traveled to different parts of the world and who are always keen to meet new people, and extent warmth and friendship. Those interested to learn Indian cooking can experiment in the kitchen with Usha and try to learn the nuances of Kerala style cooking. Since we have been many of tourist locations in India and we can possibly help you with your travel plans and holiday activities. Ayurvedic therapy/treatments can also be arranged for your comfort.

Our house is located 9 km from city centre in a village close to the Akkulam lake. The air port is 12 km away and Kovalam is 22 km from Nampelil. The national highway passes 3 km away from our house. The tourist center Varkala is 35 km from our place.

We provide complimentary pick up and drop to the nearest airport to all visitors.

Trivandrum has on the west, the Arabian sea and on the east, the western ghats with the Ponmudi hills just 60 kms away. Then there is the Kallar river and the meenmutty water falls that is reached by a one hour forest trek from Kallar.

Then there is the world famous Sri Padmanabha Temple, in the city center, and of course the Kovalam beach.. and the Padmanabhapuram Palace…
